Drs. Michael and Adrianne Vaughn
Physicians Our staff includes the following allergists:
Michael P. Vaughn, M.D., Ph.D. Dr. Mike attended medical school in Richmond, VA, at the Medical College of Virginia from 1980 to 1987 where he received both M.D. and Ph.D. degrees with his graduate studies concentrating in immunology. He was trained in internal medicine at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio, TX. He completed his training in 1995 in allergy, asthma, and immunology at the University of Texas Health Science Center. In addition, Dr. Vaughn is board certified in emergency medicine and practiced as an ER physician in the Baptist Hospital system until 2004. Dr. Vaughn has been a clinical associate professor at UTHSC-SA since 1995. Dr. Adrianne, maiden name DeWalt, grew up in San Antonio. She attended Incarnate Word High School and St. Mary's University. She completed her medical training at the University Health Science Center in San Antonio as well. For pediatric training she left Texas for Miami, Florida, but returned as soon as possible to train in allergy, asthma, and immunology at the University Hospital in San Antonio in 1994. She married Dr. Mike in 1995, the Vaughn's have two children, Ian and Ryan. Dr. Adrianne Vaughn has been employed by several other San Antonio allergists to assist in their practices intermittently. She has worked with Dr. Dale Wood, Dr. Paul Ratner, Dr. Mika Cole, Dr. Miguel Martinez, Dr. Robert Jacobs, Dr. Raiqua Arastu, Dr. Anna Ortiz, Dr. Regan Hicks, Dr. Frank Hampel, and Dr. Bruce Martin. She is the physician co-director for Camp Broncho, which is sponsored by the American Lung Association.
